New York City: Dog Friendly Bars

New York City: Dog Friendly Bars

Dog-owning New Yorkers (as well as dog-loving folks that don’t have pets of their own) know just how tricky it can be to find bars that allow canines. Restaurants that will host canines are often even harder to track down, but, yes, they do exist. For the most part, pet-friendly dining and drinking joints only allow dogs outdoors, be it at sidewalk tables or on backyard patios. Some on this list, however, let them inside, too, while others have special menus just for dogs.

Note: Be sure to call ahead and confirm that dogs are welcome before heading over to any of these places, as some dog-friendly spots sometimes won’t let pups in because of a scheduled health department visit.

Here are the most enjoyable places around NYC that welcome dogs, whether for brunch or a casual round of drinks.
